Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)

The Role:
We're looking for highly driven Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) who enjoy solving complex problems, working closely with customers, and turning real-world challenges into scalable solutions. This role is based in Bangalore and operates on a night shift aligned with US and European business hours.

What You'll Do

• Work directly with customers across the US and Europe to understand their technical and business challenges
• Build, customise, and deploy solutions using Emergent's AI-powered platform
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on production-grade applications
• Debug complex issues across applications, integrations, APIs, and workflows
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to drive customer outcomes
• Identify recurring customer problems and turn them into scalable product and process improvements
• Own projects end-to-end, from understanding requirements to deployment and iteration
• Work in a fast-paced environment where speed, ownership, and problem-solving are highly valued

What We're Looking For

• Strong software engineering or technical problem-solving experience
• Experience building and deploying web applications or software products
• Comfortable working with APIs, databases, debugging, and integrations
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and work across the stack
• Strong understanding of software development fundamentals
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently in ambiguous situations
• Ability to move quickly, experiment, and deliver high-quality solutions
• Experience with AI/LLM-based tools is a plus
• Willingness to work night shifts aligned with US and European time zones
